What we repair
A stove has burners on top and an oven below, so a fault can sit on either side. Most calls come down to a handful of problems, and a technician confirms the fault before any repair.
A wet or dirty igniter, a burner cap out of position, blocked burner ports or an ignition fault can all stop a gas burner lighting or keep it sparking.
A burner or oven that stays cold can come from an igniter, an element, a temperature sensor or a power or control fault. A technician confirms the actual fault before any part is replaced.
Check the breaker first. A dead display or unresponsive controls after a power cut or surge can also be a control board fault.
A burner flame or oven temperature that is weak or uneven can have blocked burner ports, a worn igniter or element, a sensor fault or a power fault, depending on the stove type.
A knob that will not turn, a switch that does not respond or touch controls that ignore input can come from worn parts, spilled liquid or a control fault.
A code or flashing light points to the system involved. Write it down before you reset anything, so a technician can trace it.
Do not use the stove or any switch. Leave the home and call your gas utility's emergency number or 911 from outside. Do not use flames, a phone or switches inside, and stay out until your gas utility confirms it is safe.
Parts
A failed part is often the whole story, but which one depends on the diagnosis. We confirm the fault before recommending a repair.
Control board and wiring faults are a larger decision. See repair or replace below.
Before you call
A few simple checks can rule out the easy causes. Do not remove panels or work on gas or wiring yourself.
If the stove is still not right after these checks, a technician can trace the fault. Call or book online and tell us what the stove does.
Repair or replace
Often yes, when the fault is a single part such as an igniter, sensor, element, switch or burner part. A stove is a large appliance, and replacing it can cost far more than the part.
The answer depends on how old the stove is, what has failed and what the repair costs compared with replacing it. Prices vary with the fault and the part, so we do not publish one figure. Our range and oven repair cost guide explains what drives it.
Models
People use these words differently. If you are not sure which one you have, call us with the model from the data plate and we will confirm we can service it.
How it works
From the first call to a working stove, in three steps.

Tell us the model, what the stove is doing, any error code or flashing light and whether it is gas or electric. A photo of the data plate helps.
Our technician traces the fault, whether it is an igniter, burner, sensor, element, switch or control, and explains what is needed.
You get the diagnosis and the repair options, and the repair goes ahead once you agree.
